in the attached file you'll find some missing postal codes used for post boxes in Germany. For two entries I have looked up the exact position (of the post office where the box is at), the others are completely estimated...
We don't have a Logo. Any logo-designer is welcome to help out with one.
We are trying to integrate the 'normal' place database with the postal codes. So you can add the postal code as alternate name in the pseudo language 'post'. 'Bonladen' is not only missing in the postal codes database it is also missing in the main GeoNames database. You can add it over the google maps edit interface. There is a short description on how to add places in the GeoNames user manual : http://www.geonames.org/manual.html
you've developed a great service! I use your webservice to find the nearest zip-codes. For some zip codes in germany the webservice returns a "not found" instead of a list of zip-codes. So i located for example german zip-code 04158 and 04178 which are missing. Then i found this post and used the Link you mentioned.
I've added for Leipzig/Burghausen and Leipzig-Breitenfeld in http://www.geonames.org/maps/wikipedia.html as alternate name the zip-codes (lang=post) as you described in this post.
When will the webservice be able to use these data? Is this a daily running task which gets the data/zipcodes from the placenames to use it for the "findnearestzipcode"-ws?
