Periodically we run into postal codes that have wrong lat/long centerpoints. We would like to avoid building a patching system on our end to apply these corrections and rather would apply the patches at the source for everyones' benefit.

Exploring the geonames map view, I see I can edit various things...but can't seem to find the postal codes on the map view in order to get into any sort of edit screen.

Example:

From this postal code screen, clicking into Leipzig just shows Leipzig. Clicking on the lat/long link gives an error.

Maybe users editing postal codes is not possible and we just need to submit corrections by email or something as we find them?

we are currently rebuilding the ui. The link works again, though not yet pointing to a postal code layer.
An option to edit postal codes will be added as a new functionality soon.

It would be really great if there was a documented process here for getting postal code dataset updates done.

For instance discovered today that DE-99095 is missing completely from geonames DE postalcode database.
