Hi Marc,

can you add the 'preferred' tag to the alternateNameId 1594509 ?
I don't have sufficient access rights (logged in as femalepressure).
Reason:
In our application we take for a given geonameid the first alternate name from names in english or without a language. if there is no alternate name, we take the name of the geoname table. Which entry it is, decides the order by: lang_code, ispreferred, isshort desc, altname_id desc.
In our previous version isshort was asc, but that led to 'Indpls' for Indianapolis, so this is not an option.
