Two things that may could be updated in cities (I have used cities15000):
- Copenhagen is spelt..Copenhagen, in English. But all other cities in Denmark is in national language. Same goes for Helsinki, Roma etc. Same if you look at Denmark on geonames.org map under sitites, there spelt in Danish. So geonameid 2618425 should be København instead I suppose?
- Majorna in Sweden, geonameid 6619708, is not a city, it is just a part of the city of Gothenburg. No other of the 20 or so parts of Gothenburg is incluede in the cities dataset. So it should be moved one step down in the administrative ladder somehow.

Clarification, Majorna is a district of Gothenburg, like Soho or Knightsbridge in London.

Hi Bernt

The main toponym name should be in English. Local languages can be defined as alternate names. The cities15000 includes all populated places with some administrative function or with a population over 15000. It has a feature code PPLX which indicates it is a neighbourhood. A district at the other hand is normally an adminstrative entry with featureclass A.

Regards

Marc
