Hi,
I'd like to add a geoname which would represent the Contiguous United States:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contiguous_United_States

It consists of 48 mainland ADM1 + Columbia ADM1.

Would it make sense on geonames? And what class would fit better?
Please advice.

I've began creating this one
https://www.geonames.org/12746282/contiguous-united-states.html

I've tried to fill the 'alternate countries' field will contained ADM1 states, here is the list:
AL,AZ,AR,CA,CO,CT,DE,DC,FL,GA,ID,IL,IN,IA,KS,KY,LA,ME,MD,MA,MI,MN,MS,MO,MT,NE,NV,NH,NJ,NM,NY,NC,ND,OH,OK,OR,PA,RI,SC,SD,TN,TX,UT,VT,VA,WA,WV,WI,WY

But it fails due to 'CT' for Connecticut.

I've seen kind of similar usage for L/RGN geonames.

Please give some feedback

PS: of course I did not find any existing geoname for this.

I've actually managed to add the states in the hierarchy>children section (using their geonames ids, not state codes).

I've changed the class to L>RGN but I was considering A>PCLIX as well.

I prefer RGN.

I've added Alabama today, I guess the map will be updated after some time as it did for the first edit.
