Hey,

I notice the names of places are broken down into types (region, county, district etc) which can result in an unnatural hierarchy for a website.

For example, Middleton in Northamptonshire would fall under this hierarchy:

UK > England > Northamptonshire > Corby District > Middleton

This results in an unnatural hierarchy from a search engine optimisation perspective. Ideally, Middleton would fall directly under Northamptonshire.

In addition, you'd expect Brighton & Hove to fall under East Sussex, yet it is its own unitary authority (the same level as East Sussex).

I wondered if anybody had had any experience or knew of any data sources that reorganise the hierarchy so it is based on search volume and a potentially more 'natural' hierarchy from a user/person perspective?

Many thanks in advance,

Charlie
