I don't know if I have used the right terms for the subject of this thread.
Let explain! I need to know how a Country is subdivided by each type of Administrative children. For example: ITALY (geonameID: 3175395).
The Country of Italy is subdivied by REGION (Abruzzo, Puglia, Marche, etc.):
http://api.geonames.org/children?geonameId=3175395&username=demo&hierarchy=geography
Each REGION has fcode ADM1.
Abruzzo, for istance (geonameID: 3183560), is subdivided by PROVINCE (in Abruzzo we have Pescara, Teramo, Chieti and L'Aquila):
http://api.geonames.org/children?geonameId=3183560&username=demo&hierarchy=geography
Each PROVINCE has fcode ADM2.
At the end, Pescara (geonameID: 3171163) is subdivided by CITIES, all with fcode PPL.
NOW, the structure is different by Country. I need to understand:
1. Which are the levels of Subdivisions of each Country;
2. What is the name or label for each ADMx fcode;
After this information I can realize a form that can require dynamically all levels until reach the populated city.
If you have any suggestions in order to get this structure, let me know.
Thanks for your supply.
