Hi,

could someone change the code of Mardorf (2873739) from PPL to PPLX because it is just a section of a populated place. My user right is not sufficient, I just have user level 1.

https://www.geonames.org/2873739/mardorf.html

Unfortunately german reference only: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mardorf_(Am%C3%B6neburg)

It does not look like a PPLX but rather like a PPL.

Unfortunately in Germany villages are called 'Stadtteil' even if they are physically self-contained. The feature codes in featureClass A are used to model the political function of a feature and the P featureClass the physical aspects (how does it look like on the aerials).

Hi there - I don't think PPLX is to be used for clearly defined villages that are part of a larger ADM4 municipality. PPLX is more like a neighborhood, borough or quarter within a single town.

I'll let marc cast the deciding vote on that, however. But I do see that he was the one that changed it from PPLX to PPL in 2015.
