Hi,

This has an old name (Orange Free State) marked as the preferred name, with "Free State" marked as just the short name. Free State should be the preferred name and Orange Free State as historical, if I understand the model right.

I had a go at changing this but I guess it makes sense that changing admin regions requires a higher user level as I've not made many changes. I'm happy to talk to someone about that as we use geonames pretty heavily at https://grid.ac and may be able to help with updates as we're going through things.
