Whenever you try following commads:
wget http://download.geonames.org/export/dump/cities1000.zip
unzip cities1000.zip
You'll see following error:
Archive: cities1000.zip
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not
a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the
latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on
the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of cities1000.zip or
cities1000.zip.zip, and cannot find cities1000.zip.ZIP, period.
So archive is broken and according this page http://download.geonames.org/export/dump/ it was modified at 2020-04-02 03:16
Probably other archives are broken too.
Please fix it ASAP
