Hello,

I would like to ask whether there are some scripts or tools available for download which would let me retrieve continent, country, region, county, city/village, etc. based on the given longitude, latitude and language. I would like to retrieve this offline, from a dump data file like GB.txt or allCountries.txt. In other words, I am looking for a script or tool which will work in the same way as the API of the GeoName web service, but offline

I am not searching for a solution in a particular programming language, though Python would be best.
