We can all agree that pressure washers are a blessing to many of us. The thought of having to clean things like oil stains or dirt and mud smudges that are a couple of months old without a trusty pressure washer is terrifying. Not only that, they are much more convenient than the traditional ways of cleaning with a brush, a dustpan, and a bottle of bleach. They’re also quicker and can clean better than these manual tools by many times over.

But do you know what is the best pressure washer when you’re looking for something with heavy-duty performance? A gas pressure washer, of course. While electric pressure washers have got their own strengths, in terms of raw capability, electric washers absolutely cannot contest with the gas variation of these machines.

That’s the reason why, in this best pressure washers reviews, we will be showing you what we think are the best gas pressure washers on the market right now.

1. Simpson Cleaning PS3228

Armed with a reliable (but no less powerful) Honda GX200 gas engine, this power washer can generate a whopping 3100 PSI of water pressure and a flow rate of 2.4 GPM at its very best. For this reason, the PS3228 fits snugly in the heavy-duty category and can handle just about every cleaning job from big to small that you can think of. From cleaning out the decking, renewing the house’s driveway, giving the car a wash-down, to industrial applications like paint stripping and graffiti removal, this machine can handle it all.

Though the design of this power washer is not superb aesthetically, it is quite understandable why it is not much of a looker. Simpson is a company that’s known for purely functional and utilitarian products. What this gas pressure washer doesn’t have in looks, it more than makes up to users with its satisfying performance.

The welded frame that supports the entire machine makes for a very durable washer worthy of its title as an industrial-grade washer. The washer itself sits on a pair of 10-inch pneumatic wheels, giving it the mobility it needs to move quickly around the house or in-between jobs.

A couple of things come straight out the box with this pressure washer. You will receive five quick-connect nozzle types tailored for different jobs. If you’re seeking to extract as much power from the washer as possible (though this is not recommended), you have the 0-degree nozzle. This can be used to strip paint from surfaces, removing graffiti, as well as deep-cleaning just about anything you can think of. Milder power nozzles like the 15-degree, 25-degree, and 40-degree ones are available. The last nozzle that this is shipped with is the soap nozzle to make it easier for you to dispense detergent, which can be hugely useful if you’re washing your car, for example.

The second major thing you’ll find is a 25-foot long MorFlex water hose. This non-marring, kink-resistant, and braided strong water hose is enough to also be abrasion resistant and will make your life a whole lot easier not having to fear breakage or leaking while operating the washer.

Overall, our tests showed that this washer definitely deserves its title as being one of the best rated pressure washer in the world right now (according to Amazon’s bestselling chart.)

2. Duromax XP3100PWT

Duromax is, just like Simpson, one of the more prominent brand names in the industry. With the XP3100PWT, the company has managed to show everyone that it knows the secret to design a well-functioning gas pressure washer.

The Duromax 7 HP engine has a performance fairly similar to that of the PS3228, capable of generating a water jet that has a maximum pressure of 3100 PSI and a flow of about 2.5 GPM. Because of this, the XP3100PWT is also part of the heavy-duty washer segment and will be up to the more difficult sort of tasks just like the PS3228.

Even though their performance is more or less identical to one another, the starting price point of the XP3100PWT is considerably lower than that of the PS3228. This makes it a fairly good option to fall back onto if you are operating on a budget but still want to own one of the top rated pressure washers.

The design motif is also a carbon copy of the Simpson’s pressure washer – purely utilitarian with zero care for aesthetics.

As unappealing as this washer looks, its strong, all-metal construction along with the set of wheels that has proven to be able to lend great mobility and agility to the washer has made the spartan appearance more appetizing.

The designers have also provided separate compartments for you to store the spray gun, hose, and nozzles. This design provides drastically simple storage as a result and we appreciate the thoughtfulness on the company’s part.

While the PS3228 only offers five nozzles, the XP3100PWT offers six. It has got all five of the nozzles with varying angles and a soap nozzle in addition to a turbo Nozzle. Duromax doesn’t offer a hose to go with this washer, however, so be prepared to buy a separate one of your own.

3. Generac SpeedWash 7122

Last but not least on our list is the Generac SpeedWash 7122. This unit is one of the highest rated pressure washers in the world and not without reason. On the grounds of raw performance, the Generac SpeedWash 7122 blows both of the previously mentioned home pressure washers out of the water.

The Generac 196cc OHV engine can deliver up to 3200 PSI of water pressure and an exceptional flow rate of 2.7 GPM. Needless to say, this is a fairly heavy-duty washer that, aside from being used in the household scene, will also fit perfectly into the professional, industrial environment.

Aesthetically, with Generac, it seems as if they care more about the outward appearance of their products. The SpeedWash 7122 looks markedly more appealing than the bulky, dry, and serious look of the Simpson PS3228 and the Duromax XP3100PWT. Instead, with the orange paint and an overall cleaner profile, it is considerably more photogenic and easier on the eyes. Unfortunately, though, in pursuit of a better-looking design, Generac has had to incorporate plastic into the machine. This is a bad move since plastic - while being a cheap, lightweight, and flexible material, is infamous for being prone to damage.

This washer also features a set of wheels for extra mobility.

Straight out the box, you will find a set of nozzles and a complimentary water hose. SpeedWash 7122 only comes with four nozzles: 0-degree, 25-degree, 40-degree, and a soap nozzle. The 30-foot long high-pressure, kink and abrasion resistant water hose is a nice touch for the money.

Conclusion

So, these are our picks for the best rated pressure washers - the top pressure washer. Market research is an important thing for customers to do, especially when it comes to an investment as large as a pressure washer. Still, if you’re short on time and would like to have a pressure washer immediately, take your pick and you definitely won’t be disappointed!

srtm1 or aster should be better than srtm3.
srtm1 has a sample area of around 30m x 30m whereas srtm1 has 90m x90m. All these global datasets have metre or more resolution and return an integer.
