I have a general question, hoping it hasn't been discussed in another thread already:
How do I proceed with places that no longer exist as entities but are 'physically' still there?
For example: In the administrative district of Hochtaunuskreis in Germany there are the two villages of Nieder-Reifenberg and Ober-Reifenberg; these two were created by administratively splitting Reifenberg into two separate villages in 1848. How can I refer to such an historic place? Which feature code would be appropriate? PPLH (or PPLQ) doesn't seem right because technically the village is still there.
(and by the way: where is the exact distinction between PPLH and PPLQ? Is 'historical' for places without traces left and 'abandoned' for places that are in ruins? But then there is still S/RUIN...)
Regards,
