I've just pulled all the geonames locations that have a corresponding Wikipedia link in alternateNamesV2, and mapped them by language, revealing somewhat surprising results:
An English bias was certainly expected, but I certainly didn't expect it to be in the order of 1000x more than French and Spanish. I wonder if anyone can offer any reasons why this may be the case?
