Hi,

I guess, there is a wrong language in the file countryInfo.txt.

In line 243 ... RU RUS 643 RS Russia Moscow ....
within the language list, there is an entry "ava"

...but the IANA language-subtag-registry does not know any language "ava"
There is a language "av" and "avb" ... but I do not know the right language.

I am very sorry, but I have read the comments about correction of errors...and I do not understand anything!

So, I try it this way!

Best regards

Hi

ava stands for Avar, a lanuage spoken in Dagestan:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avar_language

However, I think you are right and av can be used as well. I will change it.

Best Regards

Marc

Thank you very much!
Now the file is absolutely error free!

Yes, you are right! ava stands for Avaric.

I have compared the geoinfo file with the official language-subtag-registry file from IANA.
...and there is a special rule:
If there was already an ISO 639-1 code (2 characters) for a language, the ISO 639-2 code (3 characters) is not used within this registry.

So, the semantic of the file was absolutely correct...
..but I didn't understand the difference between ava and av.

Thank you!
