Hi, what do you think about linking to Wikidata instead of Wikipedia?

Wikidata has permanent identifiers and links to Wikipedia articles in all languages.

See for example

I agree with linking to Wikidata as a referral, but not more important than Wikipedia, so i think is better to give more details of what you talking about..

The Wikidata items contain links to all Wikipedia articles about the same subject.

It's easier to link to one Wikidata item instead of linking to all Wikipedia articles . Maybe it's possible to import the links via Wikidata.

you are absolutely right, this is on the todo list and has now high priority.

Both links are important, the wikipeida links and the 'link' to wikidata.

Similar to the wikipedia link the wikidataid can now be added as alternatename with the pseudo language code 'wkdt'.

A batch parsing the wikidata dump and then adding the wikidataids is in the works.

Best Regards

Marc
