There's a data error in the population for 2643741: the population is extremely and obviously wrong by a factor of 1000, see below.

The page at http://www.geonames.org/GB/largest-cities-in-united-kingdom.html is supposed to show the largest cities in the UK.

However, the top two listings are:
1 London, England 7,556,900 51.509 / -0.126
2 City of London, England 7,556,900 51.513 / -0.092

The population is identical in both cases, so one of them must be wrong!

The first entry, London is #2643743 and is a PPLC: it makes sense to me for this entity to have 7.5m people.

The second entry, City of London is #2643741 and is a PPLA3, which means it is referring to the inner London administrative division, the "CIty of London", which is referred to in the linked wikipedia article. In that same article the population is given as 7000.

Can this be corrected?

Hi tow21,

I've updated the population of the City of London.
