Hi, I want to either ignore villages of a town, or at least be able to link villages to a parent town.
For example:
McIndoe Fals, Vermont (5238423) is part of Barnet, Vermont (A: 5233491, P: 5233482). It's a very small town, but this relationship was still mapped in wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McIndoe_Falls,_Vermont, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barnet,_Vermont), as well as google (https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Lower+Granville,+Granville,+VT+05747,+USA/@43.968396,-72.8516426,15z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x4cb53e779e7619fd:0x9fbb918c67ce1f72!8m2!3d43.9683969!4d-72.8428878)
Looking through the webapp- the admin codes are mapped only to the county level. There is no adm3 code for either entry, and the hierarchy tab doesn't have any information about parents or children for either.
Is this type of hierarchy mapped anywhere in geonames? If so, where do I look for it? Or is this merely a matter of the data being incomplete? Should I be manually updating geonames to say eg 'Barnet is the adm3 for McIndoe Falls'?
From looking into the dump, at least for vermont I don't see villages being mapped to parent towns at all.
