I tried to change Oviedo, Spain, which is currently tagged as an R, back into the PPLA that it is, but I get an error saying:
error while saving:
no changes
Also, object 425517 seems to be a duplicate of 425378 (Bujumbura, Burundi), but I can't remove it since I don't own it. Where do I report such errors ? It seems excessive to post a note here every time an error of that kind is discovered.

Hi Hultin
The error preventing you from correcting Oviedo was caused by a bug introduced this afternoon. I am sorry about this. The bug should be fixed by now.
I have deleted Bujumbura. The restriction with deleting is for certain kind of places and for 'new' users.
Cheers
Marc

I'm getting an erroneous duplicate error when trying to populate a new place. GeoNames thinks these are duplicates, but they are not. There really are two parks this close together with similar names. See error below.

error while saving:
duplicate record. A similar record to Willow Park already exists with 'Willow North Park - Westlake' and id =6348140 in 1.7498452015312564 km distance

There is a workaround for this problem. The duplication check is only implemented for inserts and not for updates. You can thus use any name for the insert and rename it immediately afterwards to the correct name.
