Hi:
In the daily file alternateNamesModifications-date.txt, if the alternateNameId exists in my table, I replace it because it's a modification. If the alternateNameId not exists, I insert it because it's a new record. That is right?
Can we know when a alternateName must be deleted?
Thanks for this fantastic work,
Regards,
Isa

Not yet. It will be available as of tomorrow.

Hi Marc:
You are the fast one.
I have already seen the new file alternatenamesDeletes-2007-01-31.txt.
My doubt is how is the format of this file. I suppose that the file will be something like: alternateNameId <tab> geonameId <tab> comment ?
Once again, thanks,
Isa

I have added these two lines to the readme :
alternateNamesModifications-<date>.txt : all alternate names modified on the previous day,
alternateNamesDeletes-<date>.txt : all alternate names deleted on the previous day, format : alternateNameId <tab> geonameId <tab> name <tab> comment.
