Hello,

I am trying to import the database dump(dump_postgres_openstreetmap_allcountries_v2, dump_localhost_street.sql) into the database but I can't make out what the 'location' field is. Please could someone post the database schema(preferably in sql format) and or tell me what the location field is, looks like hex with a leading padding of some kind. I am guessing that this is the lat long no? My db is db2 as an aside and I am using Java.

Thanks in advance,
Cheers,
Michael

It doesn't seem those files are related with geonames.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for that, yes, I think that they are from the GisGraphy database, but they are much larger, 45 gig, which is nice. I think I'll just stick with the allCountries.txt and related data for now.

Thanks again,
Have a fantastic day,
Cheers,
Michael
