I've just noticed that the Preferred name with language = 'en' for Kiev, is Kyiv. This is not the English name as the data suggests.

AlternateNameId is 5463691

Can it be changed ?

Thanks

The spelling for the capital of Ukraine has become Kyiv.

Kiev corresponds to the (now deprecated) Russian spelling.

I agree. "Kiev" appears to be outdated and derived from Russian (part of Ukraine was part of Russian empire and the Soviet Union). For the last twenty years, the Ukrainian capital has been known as Kyiv. What is the procedure to initiate the change back to Kyiv?

Sorry for not having seen the continuation of the thread earlier.

You are right the change was wrong, I have added Kyiv and flagged Kiev as historical.

Best
