I want the place names results sorted based on population.
Is it possible to do this using any of the web service?

Hi

Order by population is not yet supported. For which service would you like to have this option?
The search service is sorted by relevance, which includes population among other factors.

I would like this order by population for search only.
I want to use it for getting top ten populated cities of a country.

Hi Swapna

This would be a new service 'getMostPopulatedCities'. I will see what I can do. Are other uses also interested in this service? Please post in this thread to move this feature request up in the todo list.
