Hi,

i have found an error in the geoname database. Two location entries are mixed up (interchanged). Therefore i want to report this error, but i have not found a procedure to report this error to the admins.
Shoud i describe the problem in this forum? Is there an special thread to report this? Which information do you need to correct the error (external reference)?

thanks a lot. I don't know that everyone can edit and provide the GeoNames DB entries. It was very simple to change the wrong data.

When I want to delete Schmalzkopf 2724 m in Germany (Delete comment: Evidently no Schmalzkopf 2724 m at the given coordinates. Probably duplicate of the far away Schmalzkopf 2724 m in Austria which is already in the database.) I get the following error message:
Error while saving: You are not the owner of this name. You are not allowed to delete it.
However, I don't find a way to send a message to the owner.
What is the way I am supposed to go to correct the data in this case?

HI, I am the owner of the ip (45.147.200.6), but it seems shown it was in Dubai,UAE and it was actually in moscow, Russia by provider there called LLC BAXET (AKA justhost.ru).
Could any of yours fix this? Thanks. this made my steam think i was in UAE. QAQ
